HOKA Shakeout Run
High school runners competing in the 52nd Manhattan College Invitational Presented by HOKA are invited for an informal “Shakeout Run” on Saturday, October 12 at 3pm.
Designed to familiarize visiting runners with the legendary Van Cortlandt Park cross country course, the fun “Shakeout Run” will be hosted by popular running influencer Billy Cvecko, running footwear designer Jacob Smith and Team Hoka professional runners.
“Lots of teams come to Van Cortlandt the day before our races to figure out best ways to run this historic course. Thanks to HOKA, on Saturday, October 12 at 3pm, this fun “Shakeout Run” will be hosted by professional HOKA runners,” said Kerri Inman, Director of Cross Country, Track & Field at Manhattan College.
Runners and teams are asked to meet at the HOKA tent adjacent to the starting line of the Van Cortlandt Park course at 3pm on Saturday, October 12 for this guided fun run. Following the run, HOKA will provide HOKA t-shirts and pizza to the high school competitors on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Manhattan College Cross Country Invitational Presented by HOKA will be contested on Sunday, October 13 at Van Cortlandt. The 42-race event features the Ed Bowes Girls and Peter Acquilone Boys Eastern States Championships along with varsity, junior varsity, sophomore, freshman, coaches and modified/intermediate races for both boys and girls as well as a youth race.
