LOCAL BRONX BUSINESSES OFFER DISCOUNTS TO RUNNERS AT MANHATTAN CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL PRESENTED BY HOKA
Riverdale, New York - The Manhattan University Cross Country Invitational Presented by HOKA will offer discounts to runners competing in this year’s 52nd annual meet on Sunday, October 13 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.
Working with the Bronx Economic Development Corporation, the following local businesses will offer discounts to runners who must present official race bibs from the Manhattan Invitational to qualify for the discounts:
Jake’s Steakhouse: 20% discount. Right across from Van Cortlandt Park entrance, Jake’s is a nice place for families to enjoy a post-race meal.
Home BX Steak House: 10% Discount (224 W 238th St). Latin-stye steak house close to Manhattan University Parking lot.
Kingsbridge Social Club: 10% Discount. An Italian style, neighborhood spot located underneath 238th Street subway stop.
The Last Stop – 10% Discount. (5977 Broadway) Offering Indian style street food & brunches.
Mon Amour Coffee and Wine – 10% off (234 West 238th Street) Great local coffee spot along with pizzas and paninis.
Claudy’s – (5981 Broadway) Peruvian street food. Any 3 empanadas for $12; any 10 empanadas for $40
In addition, Lloyd’s Carrot Cake, the famed Bronx establishment located across from the Van Cortlandt finish line will be providing their critically acclaimed carrot cakes to the individual as well as team champs for the Ed Bowes Girls and Peter Aquilone Boys Eastern States champions.
